Our client in Portsmouth is seeking a skilled Barrel Manufacturer to join their dedicated team at their barrel production facility. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced machinist with a strong background in CNC and manual lathe/mill operations to contribute to the manufacture of precision parts. Pay: £17.50 per hour. Hours: 4 day working week. Key responsibilities include: - Operating CNC and manual lathes to produce high-quality barrels. - Working within a machine shop environment, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. - Interpreting technical drawings and specifications accurately. - Using a range of precision measuring instruments to maintain tight tolerances. - Managing day-to-day tasks within a production facility, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in CNC and manual lathe machining, be able to read and understand engineering drawings, be proficient in using precision measuring tools and be familiar with Fanuc controls. Experience with XYZ Prototrack and Heidenhain controls is highly advantageous. What we’re looking for
