About the role
Our client in Poole is currently seeking a fully skilled CNC Mill/Turn Setter/Operator for a Level 2 night-shift role. Night-shift pay: £22.10 – £23.40 per hour, including the 30% night-shift enhancement. The underlying base rate is £17.00 – £18.00 per hour; the enhancement is already included in the advertised night rate, not added again. Your main responsibilities will involve: - Setting and operating CNC Mill/Turn lathe machines with FANUC controls to produce turned components to customer drawings and specifications. - Inspecting your own work to drawing and SPC requirements. - Applying a high standard of fully skilled engineering ability. - Maintaining your area to a high standard of 5C/5S.
What we’re looking for
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
- A high standard of fully skilled engineering ability.
- Adept with FANUC controls.
- Solid experience in the aerospace industry.
- Working knowledge of Nakamura machines with bar feed is advantageous but not essential.
