About the role
Our client is seeking a Mechanical Inspector in Poole, with opportunities on day or night shifts. Pay: £17.40 – £20.00 per hour. Night shifts attract a 30% enhancement on the hourly rate. This enhancement applies only when working the night shift. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Ensure all products are inspected at planned stages to prevent non-conforming product, including first-off, FAIR, final view, pre-treatments and goods in/out. - Carry out dimensional and visual inspection of products at all required stages of manufacture. - Raise purchase orders for subcontract suppliers. - Raise NCRs for non-conforming product in accordance with procedure; label and contain non-conforming parts. - Communicate product non-conformity to quality engineers and production in a timely manner. - Complete FAIRs in accordance with the applicable procedure. - Utilise customer quality processes and software as required, for example Net Insp. - Attain and comply with customer-approved inspection requirements, for example DSQR. - Compile and approve certificates of conformity. - Attend and contribute to RCCA 8D meetings as required. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar engineering workshop environment within the aerospace industry, excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain exceptionally high standards of process control in all aspects of quality.
