About the role
Our client in Poole is currently seeking a Full-Time Workshop Labourer. The ideal candidate will have worked in a busy factory environment and be physically fit, as there will be manual handling and the use of pallet trucks to manoeuvre heavy material. The client has a large site, with plenty of walking between units. Pay: £14.00 – £14.25 per hour. Hours: 39-hour week, Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Friday. Duties will include: - Use of forklift. - Use of pallet trucks. - Cleaning workshop floors using industrial cleaning machines and mopping hard floors. - Cleaning factory equipment and machinery, including swarf and oil spills. - Unloading deliveries from lorries. - General cleaning of the factory workshop. - Cleaning workshop toilets. - Emptying waste bins, including industrial bins. - Basic DIY. - Moving jobs between factories. - Emptying coolant and oil drums. - Occasional local driving. - Other general workshop duties. What we’re looking for
- Experience working in a busy factory environment.
- Ability to handle the physical requirements of the role, including manual handling and moving heavy material with pallet trucks.
- A valid forklift licence.
- Experience of general workshop labouring duties.
- Carry out duties and cleaning to the standard expected by our client.
- Follow health and safety requirements at all times.
